Paul Wright

Executive General Manager

After more than 20 years working in the private sector, Federal Government and the Not for Profit industry, Paul decided in 2003, after turning 40, that it was time to get off the corporate treadmill.

In Paul's last senior management role, he had up to 24 business unit managers across 30 geographically dispersed branches.

"I enjoyed my corporate job and as a result, gave much more than I was required to. I also realised that it was only ever going to be a high paying executive role and that there was always the inevitable politics. This complicated my life and my ability to achieve operational/corporate objectives. (If you are currently a senior executive then Paul's story will likely resonate with you)

I had made my corporate masters millions and decided it was time to take a long term view and consider my family, myself and my overall quality of life.

In short I wanted to simplify my life; have a sense of control over my own destiny and work with a vehicle that would give me the ability to create a lifestyle opportunity, with a good income and the flexibility to spend time with my amazing wife, family and friends.

When Paul left his corporate role, he took some time out to reflect on his life direction and to research a variety of opportunities.  Paul wanted to use his professional qualifications & diverse background which spans banking, international trade, stockbroking, pastoring a bilingual church, executive recruitment, operations and general management to give something back to the community.

Carlos Alvarez
Sales Manager

Carlos understands tradespeople and those running a blue collar business. For more than 18 years until December 2008 he worked in the USA in heavy industry progressing from the factory floor to his last position where for over 8 years he was a highly valued sales manager and personally responsible for multi-million dollar accounts in the petro-chemical, steel fabrication and associated heavy industries.


More recently Carlos has been living in Mexico and in November 2010, Carlos along with his wife Ivonne and daughters Jessica and Giovanna relocated to Australia to take up the role as Sales Manager with Results In Business Institute (RIBI).  Carlos is a welcome senior addition to the RIBI team and business owners will find he is in touch with their challenges particularly if your business is involved or related in any way to heavy industry, steel fabrication, petro-chemical or the like.  He is an accomplished welder (MIG and TIG) and previously operated a range of heavy equipment including cranes.  Carlos is also an experienced autocad software user and was recognised by his former employer as a leader that truly valued relationships with their customers.  You can rest assured that when you talk to Carlos you are being heard and that your interests and commercial objectives are a high priority.

Carlos' brief is to connect with SME Business Owners and assist them to improve improve their sales, net profits, asset value and productivity.  After all Carlos knows that most people in business work TOO many hours for TOO little money and really at the end of the day their business isn't worth anywhere near what it should be!

At RIBI we have a number of Business Development Managers (BDM) and they only qualify to be appointed to these positions by adequately demonstrating that they have already been very successful in this industry by doing exactly what it is that you will be doing.

In most instances our BDM’s continue to operate their successful consultancy/coaching businesses in conjunction with their BDM duties.

For RIBI, their major duty is to assess whether you have the desire and determination to be successful in this industry.

Andy Lamont

Andy came from the corporate world, and in his first year in this industry he managed to treble his previous corporate salary and with less stress and far more enjoyment.

Martin Dolan

After 15 years in the rapidly changing world of Information Technology and Network Design, Martin realised that job and life satisfaction does not come from a large pay cheque alone.

“… money sure helps, but if you are not following your passion, if you are working so hard you never get to see your family and friends or pursue your hobbies, what’s the point?”

The day he quit his job and became a RIBI Licensee, he has never looked back, and has grown a very successful business over the last few years helping business owners achieve what they originally set out to do when they started their business. On top of that he is now a NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Master results coach and qualified trainer. Another set of tools he shares with his clients and our Licensees.

He fervently believes that just because you are good at your job does not mean you will be passionate about it- but when you follow your passion, by either finding it or re-igniting it, life just gets a whole lot easier. He enjoys helping people discover a better way to do things and expanding what they ever thought possible.

Martin runs his own business coaching & consultancy (Fresh Insight Business Development Specialists), as a RIBI Licensee from Eltham, VIC as well as being a Director and Business Development Manager of Results In Business Institute.
